Sweet little guy jumped himself to sleep.

Dress up

Doesn't everyone wear sunglasses to brush their teeth?

Baby Sophie, Maddie, and Baby Whatshername. Maddie named the baby on the right Baby Madison, but for some reason she can't remember it! The first couple of days she had her, she called her Baby What's Her Name.

Maddie Grace has been helping Daddy with his socks since his arm is all bandaged from surgery. He's doing really well. The doctor said he just might be able to play baseball this spring.

Gotta watch this!

My friend Dana and her husband Sean recently adopted a sweet baby girl from Ethiopia. Dana's brother made a precious 5 minute video showing their journey to Mercy, and I would love for you to watch it. Just seeing the pics of Ethiopia will make you feel tremendously blessed. You just might want to adopt after you see it! Be sure to turn your speakers on.

2 updates

Here is a new picture of Madison. Many of you have asked how she is doing. She has had an amazing recovery. She had the metal halo removed the Monday before Christmas. She will continue to wear the brace around her neck for a few months. She has done better than anyone could have hoped for! Thank you for all of your prayers for her and her family.

Marty just went to the OR. He was in good spirits (I guess that's the point of Valium) and will hopefully be out in about an hour or so. Dr. Burton Elrod is doing the surgery. He's the Titans team doctor, so I feel like he's in good hands. We were really lucky to get in with him. I'll keep you posted.

Quick Prayer Request

Marty is having shoulder surgery Monday morning to repair a torn labrum. He has never had surgery, so he isn't prepared for how much it's going to hurt or how long it will take to recover. He seriously thought he could go to work Tuesday, and he still thinks he will play baseball this spring. I'll let you know his thoughts on that again tomorrow night. My sweet sweet parents have stayed in town to help me with the kids. My mother helped me get all of my Christmas decorations put away (including all 4 Christmas trees) today. She is a saint. Thank you for your prayers for Marty.

Chase and Hide and Go Seek (sort of)

Catch me if you can!

Gotcha!!

I'm gonna hide, and you try to find me...

Mommy, you always find me

At the end of the Grinch in Ice, there was an ice sculpture of the Nativity. It was breathtaking!

A great surprise

My aunt Jennie, uncle Bill, and cousin David decided at the last minute to come in town. It was such a nice surprise!!

Merry Christmas!

Maddie was happy to help pass out gifts. We had a low key morning, which was nice. We had breakfast together before we got to gifts. We are trying to keep Christmas about Jesus, not about presents.

Preston dove right in! He tore paper and chewed on bows.

MG got a pink microwave to go with her kitchen (in which I later found 2 of the 3 wisemen from her Nativity...oops).

Preston got a lot of the toys that Maddie got her 1st Christmas. I almost got away with it until we were video taping and Marty said "I can't believe you gave him Maddie's hand me down toys". First of all, she doesn't play with them anymore. Second, we do not need more toys. Seriously...we have too many. I didn't want to be wasteful. The money is better spent helping those less fortunate. Look at the smile on his face. He doesn't care.

Mamaw and Papaw got Elmo Live for P, and he loves it. He got so excited when Elmo danced.

Say
cheese!

No Grinches allowed!!

After we ate, we went to the Grinch in Ice. The story of the Grinch was told through ice sculptures. Everything you see in the pictures is ice. I've never seen anything like it. It wasn't too cold with the heavy coats you wear. They even had special blankets for Preston.

Maddie got stuck on the ice slide about half way down. She has so much clothes on that she couldn't move.

Christmas Lunch

It's almost ready! (okay, so my mom did most of the cooking)

Preston sat in the high chair for the first time. He tries so hard to get the puffs in his mouth.

Christmas Eve Morning

Uncle Howard thought he would get to sleep in this morning. Not so! The kids couldn't wait to open gifts.

Hailey got a volleyball.

Preston wanted to eat paper.

Daniel helped Maddie open a present.

Is it obvious how much my kids love their cousins?!
