It's all about the shoes!

One of Maddie Grace's first words was "shoe". She loves them. Instead of time out, I think we could take her shoes away from her and that would be worse punnishment. Our neighbor Leslie bought her some fuzzy pink boots. They are too big right now, but she loves to wear them. She will stop playing with any toy if I tell her it's time to put on her shoes. She nearly hyperventilated in the Disney store when she saw the sparkly green Tinkerbelle shoes. Sunday morning, while we were getting ready to go to church, I told her that it was time to put on her shoes. I got sidetracked, and the next thing I know, she is standing below me handing me her shoes! She also likes her pink hat that Aunt Anya got her. These pics were taken just before she and Marty left yesterday morning.

Holding another shoe!

Halloween

Tinkerbelle had her 1st middle ear infection the week of Halloween. She did not feel well, so we only took her to a couple of neighbor's houses. Our 1st Trick-or-treat was at Leslie's house. She forgot to buy candy so she gave Maddie a honeybun. We also went to Fred's house, and he filled Maddie's pumpkin. Marty and I have enjoyed eating all the loot. After all, Maddie Grace is too young for candy. Peter Pan wasn't excited about his costume this year, either!

Poor baby didn't feel well. She woke up Thursday morning covered in red splotches. She is allergic to penicillin just like her mommy.

Baby Toth 2

We will have a new addition at our house around May 31st! We are very excited. I never knew pregnancies could be so different. I feel basically normal/ slightly nauseous with this one. I was sick for 20 weeks with Maddie. This is a 2 month ultrasound.

At the park...

This was our first trip to the park. It was not planned...otherwise I wouldn't have her in a dress. She cried when I took her out of the swing, so we were there for a long time. She really liked the slide. She pushed herself off without me holding her hand. She's such a big girl!

1 Year Checkup

Maddie Grace weighs 20 lbs, 4 oz. She is 30 inches long and has 10 teeth (with 2 more working their way in). She is a little commedian. She has mastered blowing a raspberry and just recently learned to blow kisses. She is amazing.

The new ride

This was Maddie's gift from Mamaw and Papaw. We thought she wouldn't be big enough for it, but she took off! Her feet don't reach the pedals, but she can walk it like Fred Flintstone. It is too cute!

Mommy's sweetheart

We were putting Maddie to bed after a long day of birthday events, and we realized we never gave her the presents we bought her. She got so many great things at her party, I think we will save our gifts for Christmas! Everything except the doll...

Daddy's girl

What a difference a year makes!

The botanical gardens

Daddy found a hose with a leak in it, and of course he ran Maddie through it!

The perfect combination of Mommy and Daddy...a hammer in one hand while wearing a tiara!

1st Haircut!!

Marty and I took off of work on his and Maddie's actual birthday. We had family pictures made, then we took Maddie Grace for her first haircut. They didn't take off much. Maddie thought she was big stuff sitting in the chair, and she grinned the whole time. She played peek-a-boo with the cape. She had everyone laughing.

Presents

Maddie is a little too young to understand opening presents. She wanted to be on the move, so all the other kids opened her gifts for her.

The first present Maddie opened was a Curious George toy. That was enough excitement for her. She grabbed it and took off!

Asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot! Cousin Hailey had a great time!
