Dollywood
We went home for my parents 46th wedding anniversary, and we took the kids to Dollywood. We were so happy to have Hailey go with us!

Preston rode his 1st roller coaster, and he love it!

Renaissance Festival
Uncle Doug and Uncle Bob took us to a Renaissance Festival. It was a lot of fun. There were so many things for the kids to do.
Our crew
Queen Maddie
King Preston
Shrek!
"Walk the Plank" swings
Pony ride

Preston and Noah
Maddie asked all day to do the bungee. We finally agreed to let her try it, but she wasn't heavy enough to weigh the cords down. The guy basically had to sling shot her into the air, but she loved every minute!

A Bowling Party
Visitors
We love having friends from East Tennessee come for a visit. My friend Anya brought her kids for a weekend, and we had so much fun! Anya and I have been friends our entire lives. We were in the nursery together at church, and she has been an amazing friend for 30+ years. Our kids played so well together, and they all cried when their stay was over.

I have to share this one picture. We ler Lily and Sam sleep in Maddie's room. It only took 2 hours to get them to stop talking and go to sleep. Anya and I watched a movie, then went to check on the kids. Lily wasn't in the bed, and we had to turn the light on to find her.

We laughed hysterically when we found Lily sleeping under the bed with her head on Maddie's trundle. We could not figure out how she got there. Of course we pulled her out (after taking a picture) and put her back in bed. That was a moment I will never forget!

Surprise
I have shared that I LOVE consignment sales. They last 3 or 4 days, and you have to shop early to get the good stuff. I have been wanting a slide for the kids for a while, and I found one for a steal. I paid for it, then realized it would not fit in my van. I had to sweet talk my husband into picking it up in his truck. I will admit that our bonus room looks like a toy store. When we built our house 2 years ago, it was supposed to be Marty's man cave. It didn't quite work out for him, so he wasn't thrilled to bring this big slide home. I had the kids sit on the couch and cover their eyes while daddy put it in place. They were so excited, and they kept saying "Thank you Daddy!" and "Mommy, look what Daddy got us!" He ate it up, and the kids went down the slide at least 100 times each.

Baby Time
Marty and I are part of an amazing Small Group Bible study. Our group started this past Spring, and we have been blessed with new friends who we now couldn't imagine life without. Rachel and Brandon are expecting their first baby, Weston, in the next few weeks. We had a mini-shower for them, and we can't wait to meet their precious baby boy!

Baseball Game
Trent, Christa, and Bryson joined us at Marty's baseball game tonight. It was hot! My kids are so proud to see their daddy play. They run around and yell "get a home run, daddy" or "go, daddy, go" when he's running. My favorite is when Maddie yells "hey daddy, come here a minute" when he's out on the field. Marty loves having us there, but I have a little suspicion that the rest of the team is always glad when we head home. Oh, well. They won't be little for long.
