See the difference?

These 1st two pictures are of Maddie sleeping in the floor of her new bedroom. They were taken on the day of our move, and her crib was not put together. She found herself a nice spot on the floor. The 3rd picture is Maddie having her 1st real temper tantrum. I wasn't able to capture the feet kicking and the arm flinging on camera. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen until she was two!?

Merry Christmas!!

We have so much to celebrate, foremost being the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We have moved in to the new house and we are getting settled more each day. Last week, we had an ultrasound, and the technician wrote the gender of the baby on a card for us and sealed it. I took it to a baby boutique and I picked out 2 outifts...one for a girl and one for a boy. I gave them the card and then left. They opened the card and wrapped the correct outfit for us. We opened it tonight to find out that we are having a baby boy! We are so excited. For those of you that don't know, we did all of this 2 years ago to find out that Maddie was a girl. You can see those pictures in the archives at the right of the screen. Maddie is too young to understand that she is going to have a brother. We hope this will be in our favor and that she won't be too jealous when the baby comes home. We shall see... Thank you, Melanie, for coming over to take the pictures and for sharing in this event with us (again)! There is a link to Melanie's photography website at right.

Hohoho!

I decided that DJ should get to participate in all of our holiday cheer. Check out his pawdicure! You can tell by the excitement on his face that he is ready for Santa.

14 week picture

I have to say that I think I am bigger than this picture lets on. However, I'm not as big as I was with Maddie at this time. That is a good thing!

My loving husband

Every year, it is my tradition to get up and be in line somewhere by 5:30 in the morning on Black Friday. I say it is my tradition because it is rare that anyone will go with me. 6 or 7 years ago, my aunt went with me, and we didn't buy a thing. This year, I wanted to go to Target. We were at my parents for Thanksgiving, and my mom was close to saying yes. When I got up at 4:45, look who decided to go with me! He said he didn't want me standing out in the cold, alone and pregnant. We were in line by 5:30, and we got a pretty decent spot. Marty has informed me that I will be on my own next year, since we don't expect to be pregnant then. He actually had a good time, cold and all!

I have no explanation for this. Merry Christmas!

Playing with Sam

Maddie and Sam had a lot of fun playing and eating vanilla wafers. Anya and I quickly realized the two of them could get in a lot of trouble together! Lily was a good girl!

Okay...we do eventually get Maddie dressed every day. Most of these pictures don't show that, but when we are at mamaw and papaw's house, we do lounge around for a while. My mom has a cabinet of tupperware that Maddie is allowed to play in. She emptied it out and sat in it!

She is so silly...

Maddie found Hailey's boots, and wanted to put them on. We didn't think she could stand up in them, but she took off across the room!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. A little too much football, if you ask me. I was the minority in the vote. It was a bittersweet day, as it was our first Thanksgiving without Papaw Easterday.

Maddie can hold her own cup, of course, but she loves the attention from cousin Hailey.

Sorry for the delay...

On Thanksgiving Day, my mom has always made me my own loaf of her homemade bread. I eat only the inside of it (no, not all at once). Well, Maddie got hold of the shell, and as you can see, she helped herself. She didn't like it when we took it away from her.

The past month has been wild. There have been some complications with our pregnancy, but I am happy to report that God has answered our prayers, and everything is great now. We should find out if this baby is a boy or girl the week of Christmas! Maddie is great as always. I turned thirty. That used to seem so old. We are moving to our new house the week before Christmas. Our current house looks like a bomb exploded in it. Poor Marty is stuck doing most of the packing as I have been instructed to take it easy. That's not easy with a 15 month old running around!

It's all about the shoes!

One of Maddie Grace's first words was "shoe". She loves them. Instead of time out, I think we could take her shoes away from her and that would be worse punnishment. Our neighbor Leslie bought her some fuzzy pink boots. They are too big right now, but she loves to wear them. She will stop playing with any toy if I tell her it's time to put on her shoes. She nearly hyperventilated in the Disney store when she saw the sparkly green Tinkerbelle shoes. Sunday morning, while we were getting ready to go to church, I told her that it was time to put on her shoes. I got sidetracked, and the next thing I know, she is standing below me handing me her shoes! She also likes her pink hat that Aunt Anya got her. These pics were taken just before she and Marty left yesterday morning.

Holding another shoe!

Halloween

Tinkerbelle had her 1st middle ear infection the week of Halloween. She did not feel well, so we only took her to a couple of neighbor's houses. Our 1st Trick-or-treat was at Leslie's house. She forgot to buy candy so she gave Maddie a honeybun. We also went to Fred's house, and he filled Maddie's pumpkin. Marty and I have enjoyed eating all the loot. After all, Maddie Grace is too young for candy. Peter Pan wasn't excited about his costume this year, either!

Poor baby didn't feel well. She woke up Thursday morning covered in red splotches. She is allergic to penicillin just like her mommy.

Baby Toth 2

We will have a new addition at our house around May 31st! We are very excited. I never knew pregnancies could be so different. I feel basically normal/ slightly nauseous with this one. I was sick for 20 weeks with Maddie. This is a 2 month ultrasound.

At the park...

This was our first trip to the park. It was not planned...otherwise I wouldn't have her in a dress. She cried when I took her out of the swing, so we were there for a long time. She really liked the slide. She pushed herself off without me holding her hand. She's such a big girl!
